The Prime Group has been one of the more exotic, and without doubt one of Israel's most fascinating financial phenomena in recent years. Last week, following its various subsidiaries' announcements of third quarter losses totalling over NIS50 m., and of some NIS22 m. for its flagship company, Israel Credit Lines, journalists and corporate analysts were virtually using the past tense when referring to Prime.
Indeed, barring some unlikely change of fortune, the end does seem nigh for the flamboyant Ran, his coterie of highly-paid "dream-team" of managers, and the entire, extraordinary Prime saga.
